What will structural engineering compensation be like in 2009?

According to the 2008 Compensation Survey executed by Structural Engineer, last year the median salary for a project manager practicing structural engineering was $81,227, and the median bonus was $5,500. If you are interested in learning what the median salary is for an engineer with experience equivalent to yours this year, or if you are curious about what other engineers receive as vacation or insurance benefits, you can help us find out!

The 2009 Compensation Survey has been launched by CE News and Structural Engineer. If you are a practicing civil or structural engineer, please help us learn more about compensation within the civil and structural engineering professions by taking 5-10 minutes to complete a brief, online questionnaire. The survey is anonymous and all information you submit will be kept completely confidential.

The aggregate results of our survey will be published in the June issues of CE News and Structural Engineer!

Additionally, if you complete the entire survey, you will receive a $100 discount on the registration fee for both the Civil Engineers’ Summit & Expo, scheduled for April 21-22, 2009, in Los Angeles and the Structural Engineers’ Buildings Conference & Expo, scheduled for Nov. 5-6, 2009, in Chicago. Look for the discount code after submitting your responses and clicking "Done" on the last page.

This survey will be open during the month of February, so please visit www.cenews.com/compsurvey.htm to complete the survey and receive your discount code today!
