WEF announces NGICP Train-the-Trainer Workshop in conjunction with LID Conference

Alexandria, Va. — The Water Environment Federation (WEF) invites training professionals with experience in stormwater green infrastructure construction, inspection, or maintenance, and/or a bachelor of science degree in water resource management or environmental science to become an approved trainer in the National Green Infrastructure Certification Program (NGICP). Help meet the certification training needs of NGICP partners and training sites, or develop your own licensed, training program, through this Train-the-Trainer opportunity.

This workshop, held in conjunction with the 2018 International LID Conference (https://www.lidconference.org) in Nashville, Tenn., will ensure the quality and consistency of NGICP trainers as the program grows.  The 2.5-day workshop is open both to the NGICP founding partners and any other interested parties.

Workshop schedule:

  • Friday, August 11 – 8 am to 5 pm CDT
  • Saturday, August 12 – 8 am to 5 pm CDT
  • Sunday, August 13 – 8 am to noon CDT

The cost of this training is $1,500. This gives you access to the course material and training curriculum.

Note: In order to provide the training to your audience, a training license must be purchased from WEF. The cost of the training license is $7,500 and due prior to any training you conduct. The license will detail your obligations as an NGICP-approved trainer. Please contact ngicp@wef.org if you are interested in acquiring a training license.

The cost of the workshop and the training license will be deducted from the NGICP Partnership Package costs in 2018.
