TransCore awarded two ITS maintenance contracts in Florida

Nashville, Tenn. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) selected TransCore for two Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) maintenance contracts totaling $40 million over the next five years.

FDOT District 6 awarded TransCore a five-year contract to provide maintenance services on all SunGuide ITS infrastructure throughout Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.  The contract is effective until June 2022 with a five-year renewal option.

The FDOT Central Office signed a five-year contract for TransCore to maintain the agency’s statewide ITS communications network, which consists of microwave transmission infrastructure, land mobile radio infrastructure, and tower facilities supporting the network throughout the State of Florida, including the Florida Keys.  The contract is effective through June 2022 with a five-year renewal option.

“For over 20 years, TransCore has proudly partnered with FDOT districts to provide motorists with a reliable, first-class ITS infrastructure that meets the needs of one of the fastest growing states in the country,” said Tim Fischer, senior vice president of ITS Services for TransCore.  “We are honored that FDOT continues to place their trust in our people and our services.”
