Specifying and designing with steel joists/joist girders

The Steel Joist Institute and the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations are sponsoring a full-day, six-part program on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, to help engineers, architects, and other design professionals determine when steel joist construction is the best solution. Being held at the Westin Tampa Harbour Island, Tampa, Fla., the program includes designing with steel joists, specification of components, lateral load systems, special topics, and future developments.
