Latitude 33 wins approval of San Diego development

San Diego — Latitude 33 Planning & Engineering announced that the San Diego City Council approved Unitas at Pacific Highlands Ranch. The residential project is one of several recent achievements by Latitude 33’s Planning Department, which serves as a demonstration of the company’s diversity and aptitude in achieving its clients’ goals.

On a wave of success, Latitude 33’s Planning Department has had numerous recent wins. A few recent approvals include:

• Unitas – A small, five-lot subdivision within the Pacific Highlands Ranch community, this project was unanimously approved by City Council on July 11, 2017.
• Laterra – Also at Pacific Highlands Ranch, this is a 69-unit, multifamily project which was approved by the Planning Commission on May 25, 2017.
• Pacific Highlands Ranch 8/9 – This project included the rezoning of an entire neighborhood for 515 single family homes, approved by City Council on April 11, 2017.
• Aperture – This campus-style employment center at Pacific Highlands Ranch, designed by Gensler, includes five commercial buildings at 630,000 square feet. Aperture was approved by the San Diego City Council on February 8, 2017.

With a broad range of expertise, the Latitude 33 Planning team is providing services for numerous project types, including: residential, mixed-use, golf course redevelopment, biotech/life science, higher education, hospitality, specific plans, design guidelines, regulatory updates, and suburban infill.

The Planning Department team consists of Senior Principal Randi Coopersmith, Associate Principal Melissa Krause (who this month was made Shareholder), Project Manager Domenic Ramundo, and Planner Brad Sonnenburg.  Project Manager Ramundo most recently joined the company, and is responsible for managing project entitlements, including client and municipality interactions, project schedules, budgets, consultant teams, and support staff.  He has an understanding of zoning regulations and planning, and a strong sense of collaboration, regularly interfacing with governmental entities and planning groups on behalf of clients.
