Institute offers information exchange for A/E leaders

NATICK, MASS.—ZweigWhite, provider of business information and advisory services to the architectural and engineering industry and publisher of CE News, formed the A/E Business Performance Institute (BPI), a peer-to-peer business performance information exchange exclusively for A/E presidents and CEOs. BPI will kick off its inaugural year with an exclusive presidents- and CEOs-only symposium in August 2008.

The symposium will facilitate proprietary and detailed peer-to-peer discussion and idea exchange and will be led by ZweigWhite’s most senior team of business consultants, including the firm’s founder, Mark Zweig. For three days, BPI’s charter members will have the chance to raise issues of immediate concern to them and their firms and to discuss current market and industry issues with their peers from other leading A/E organizations.

Additionally, the results of BPI’s first business performance benchmarking study will be released. This study, available only to BPI charter members, will provide benchmark analysis of survey participants’ resource utilization, earnings measurements, cost analysis, and measurements of working capital, profitability, and productivity. Survey participants will receive detailed benchmarking analysis of their own firms’ performance and will be able to compare all results against the results from all survey participants.

At the symposium, ZweigWhite will also present a long-range plan for continued membership in BPI that will provide for on-going and interactive information exchange, including web-access to quarterly business performance benchmark reporting, proprietary consultations with peers or ZweigWhite analysts, web-based conferencing, flash reports covering market news and events, and other services.
