Gannett Fleming Names 13 Senior Associates

Harrisburg, Pa. — Gannett Fleming, a global infrastructure and engineering firm, recently appointed 13 new senior associates. These thought leaders will continue to drive strategic growth in their respective business lines with a focus on employee and client relations, innovation, and upholding the firm’s corporate values.

Martin Benzaquen, PE, ENV SP, is a vice president and Florida construction services director based out of Miami. Benzaquen’s 20-year career spans many successful design-build projects, including open-road tolling infrastructure, toll plaza reconstruction, commuter rail and streetcar planning, roadway and bridge reconstruction, and intelligent transportation systems. He earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the National University of Rosario and Master of Science in construction management from Florida International University.

Eddie Bunn, PE, brings more than 30 years of experience to his roles as a vice president and senior project manager for the Construction Services Business Line. He is based out of Raleigh, North Carolina, and is responsible for overseeing the inspection and documentation of highway and bridge construction activities. Bunn specializes in contract administration, team management, and dispute resolutions. He provides his technical expertise on consulting engineering and construction inspection services for numerous projects with the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

David Burrows, PE, PMP, LEED AP BD+C, ENV SP, is a senior project manager with more than 25 years of experience based in Washington, D.C. He provides management of Gannett Fleming’s portion of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) Systems general engineering consulting (GEC) contract and management of various engineering projects under WMATA’s facilities GEC. Burrows is responsible for major aspects of project performance, including scopes of work, project planning and execution, client interface, project financial performance, quality control, and subcontract management. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Arizona State University.

Craig Crowther, PE, is a vice president of Gannett Fleming’s Project Development Corporation based in Raleigh, North Carolina. With more than 25 years of experience, he consults on the design construction of new facilities, processes, and equipment for compliance with global standards, current manufacturing practices, and Food and Drug Administration regulations. He is currently overseeing delivery for the $35.4 million Novo Nordisk Wastewater Pretreatment Plant design and construction project. Crowther holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University.

Audrey Daly, Esq., is the firm’s general counsel and ethics officer based out of corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She provides leadership and guidance on a wide range of legal matters, including those related to international and corporate law, compliance and ethics, patents and trademarks, business continuity and disaster recovery, litigation, and all phases of engineering design and construction. Daly earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology and Spanish from Bucknell University and a Juris Doctor from Penn State’s Dickinson Law.

Ray Fakhoury, PE, vice president, has enjoyed a 30-year career in the management of large multifaceted programs. Located in San Marcos, California, he is responsible for water, wastewater, and recycled water engineering projects, including preparation of technical studies, condition assessments, designs, design-bid-build documents, and design-build projects. Fakhoury earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from San Diego State University.

Anthony Ferruccio, PE, is senior vice president and Construction Services Business Line director. With more than 40 years of experience, he leads the strategic growth of program and construction management, risk management of alternative delivery, and construction engineering inspection services. He shares in Gannett Fleming’s commitment to diversity and inclusion as a Penn State (PSU) scholarship sponsor for underrepresented engineering students. Ferruccio earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from PSU.

Ryan Gallagher, PE, LEED AP, vice president, leads planning, design, and construction support services for water, recycled water, and wastewater systems in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. Gallagher’s expertise includes leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex water infrastructure and treatment projects, advanced planning, alternative delivery, and program management. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from California Polytechnic State University.

Amanda Hess, PE, CFM, is a Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) Group manager and Dams and Hydraulics Section senior project engineer based out of the corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. A 20-year industry veteran, she leads H&H analyses for water resources projects and designs hydraulic structures related to flood control reservoirs, dams, and bridges. Hess holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in civil engineering from PSU.

Debra Houser, CSPO, is the vice president of federal and product operations for GeoDecisions®, Gannett Fleming’s geospatial technology division. For more than 20 years, she has created innovative solutions for client needs while managing complex projects and assisting software development teams. She is treasurer of the Connected Women at Gannett Fleming employee resource group and is an active member of the group’s steering committee. She earned a Bachelor in Business Administration in management information systems and marketing and Master in Business Administration in management information systems and decision sciences from Loyola College.

Ken Hume, PE, vice president, has enjoyed a successful 35-year career in civil and environmental engineering and construction. He leads major water and wastewater design-build and concession projects throughout the United States and Canada. His expertise lies in treatment facility design, start-up, and operations as well as program management for alternative project delivery projects in the public sector. He is a graduate of Manhattan College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and civil engineering and Master of Science in environmental engineering.

Brian Teles, PE, is a senior project manager with nearly 25 years of experience. Based out of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, he is the office principal for the Valley Forge and Lehigh Valley offices. His responsibilities include management of the Valley Forge and Lehigh Valley Structures Group and their related transportation projects. His additional responsibilities include bridge rehabilitation, widening, replacement, preservation, maintenance, and inspection for highway and railroad structures. Teles holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Drexel University.

Radek Travnicek, PE, LEED AP, PMP, a project manager and structural engineer based out of New York, manages multidisciplinary, complex design projects from initiation through execution. Travnicek resolves complex problems and meets the challenges inherent with the design of large transportation facilities, including maintenance facilities, rail yards, and train stations. He has a long history working with Metro-North Railroad, Long Island Rail Road, Amtrak, and other transit-oriented agencies. Travnicek earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in structural and transportation engineering from Czech Technical University in Prague and a Master of Science in civil engineering, construction engineering, and management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
