Free webinar highlights HDPE pipe

The Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI) offers a free, live, one-hour webinar on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CST, providing information about the organization and the types of information it can share about high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe material and installation techniques. According to PPI, participants will learn how to reduce expenses; minimize maintenance costs; and save roads, water, sewer, and stormwater management piping systems from being undermined or possibly collapsing.

HDPE pipe offers superior resistance to rust and abrasion, PPI says, as well as outstanding joint performance in pressure and non-pressure applications. HDPE pipe delivers exceptional value to all utilities, including water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, fuel gas, conduit, and plumbing and heating.

Webinar participants need a telephone, computer with Internet access, and space to hold your team. Calls are toll-free long distance; a speaker phone is recommended to amplify the audio portion so all can hear. PPI also recommends an LCD projector and screen for viewing, but it’s not mandatory; the presentation can be viewed on a computer monitor. The format allows personal interaction between participants and PPI’s Executive Director, Tony Radoszewski, who will answer questions and address topics of interest.

Online registration is available here. For more information, contact Dana Gecker, marketing communications manager for PPI at 469-499-1048, or check the organization’s website at www.plasticpipe.org.
