EPA to host WIIN webinar

Washington, D.C. — The Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) Act to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) requires the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to develop a strategic plan within 180 days that describes how the administrator, states and the public water systems will work together to provide public education to populations affected by lead.

EPA will be hosting a webinar on March 23, 2017, from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. EST to review a draft strategic plan that identifies roles and responsibilities for EPA, states and PWS under the new requirements of WIIN. EPA encourages all states, PWS and interested stakeholders to participate.
