CH2M to grow asset management services for U.S. Army worldwide

Denver — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District selected the joint venture team of CH2M and Burns & McDonnell as one of six firms to share an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to support BUILDER Sustainment Management System (SMS) facility condition assessment services globally.

The Corps of Engineers recently mandated BUILDER SMS as its preferred platform to assess and verify more than 25,000 assets at nearly 885 Installation Management Command locations worldwide. CH2M previously delivered these services as part of the U.S. Air Force’s BUILDER SMS implementation, deploying up to 40 inspectors simultaneously to conduct over 30 million square feet of BUILDER assessments across the U.S.

“Effective and proactive asset management is critical to ensuring mission readiness and for sustaining building infrastructure investment,” said CH2M U.S. Department of Defense Director, Mark Rigatti. “We look forward to supporting the U.S. Army’s facilities assessment needs around the world.”

The contract scope of work includes:

• Implementation and preparation of sustainable infrastructure assessments.
• Real property installed equipment surveys, space utilization surveys and building energy audit surveys.
• Real property inventories.
• Army sustainment, restoration and modernization.

CH2M’s integrated approach to preparing BUILDER SMS programming documentation provides clients with SMS assessments, databases and reports that support the decision-making process for maintaining their building infrastructure and assets. For 65 years, CH2M has worked with the USACE on more than 120 IDIQ contracts for 21 Districts, ranging from facility design and renovation to training support for critical missions.
