CH2M employees get their hands dirty in Earth Day RiverSweep

Denver — On Earth Day, April 22, CH2M employees will trade in their calculators and computers for a pair of gloves and shovels. More than 50 employees from the global headquarters in Englewood, Colo., will participate in the CH2M Spring RiverSweep at Fishback Park, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers will pick up trash, remove weeds, repair trails, paint park fixtures and help get Denver parks ready for summer.

“Serving as environmental stewards in our communities is a core value of CH2M,” said Executive Director of the CH2M Foundation Ellen Sandberg. “The annual RiverSweep event engages our employee volunteers, and supports our effort to make a positive impact on our world.”

The RiverSweep supports The Green Way Foundation, a Denver-based nonprofit organization leading efforts to reclaim the South Platte River and its tributaries to a place of environmental and recreational pride.

“At CH2M, we treat every day like Earth Day. We do our part as citizens of the world, putting intense effort into managing our own impacts on people and the planet. For us, sustainability is an urgent responsibility and an inspiring opportunity,” said Sandberg.
