Autodesk announces AEC Excellence Awards finalists

Co-sponsors Autodesk, HP, Construction Dive and Smart Cities Dive announced the 2017 AEC Excellence Awards finalists. The competition showcases global projects that have embraced connected BIM technologies in the categories of Infrastructure, Building, Construction, and Sustainability.

Winners in each category will be announced Nov. 14 at Autodesk University 2017 in Las Vegas. Awards will be presented alongside special guest presentations from industry experts and thought leaders. Anyone attending Autodesk University is welcome to attend this event, but advance registration is required.

2017 Entries by the numbers:

• 145 entries received representing 32 different countries — China had highest number of overall entries, followed by the United States and the Netherlands
• 32 finalists (Top 8 finalists chosen for each of the four categories)
• 12 winners will be announced at AU Las Vegas (1st, 2^nd, and 3rd place for each of the four categories
