Apply for the Best Firms To Work For ranking

Applications are now being accepted for the 2009 Best Firms To Work For rankings. Civil engineering, structural engineering, environmental service, architecture, and multidiscipline A/E service firms have opportunity to participate in the newly expanded program hosted by CE News and Structural Engineer. The application deadline is April 3, 2009. New this year, an early-bird deadline of March 6, 2009, offers participating firms a discount on the application fee. Details are available at www.bestfirmsummit.com.

This year, the CE News Best Civil Engineering Firms To Work For, the Structural Engineer Best Structural Engineering Firms To Work For, the Best Architecture Firms To Work For, and the Environmental Business Journal/CE News Best Environmental Service Firms To Work For rankings are joined by a new ranking: the Best Multidiscipline A/E Services Firms To Work For. This ranking is geared toward firms that practice in areas such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, industrial, systems, lighting, or process engineering, as well as landscape architecture, communications, and/or planning. This new ranking provides opportunity for firms that provide work in a minimum of two disciplines to earn recognition for maintaining a great workplace and achieving high levels of employee satisfaction.

All of the rankings are hosted concurrently, so if your firm meets the requirements for more than one list, such as the environmental service and civil engineering lists or the structural and civil engineering lists, you can apply to both lists at the same time. However, firms that qualify for the multidiscipline A/E service list will not qualify for the other lists.

Visit www.bestfirmsummit.com for detailed instructions and requirements to apply, or contact Rachel Ward-Sullivan at rwardsullivan@zweigwhite.com or 800-466-6275, ext. 262.

The final rankings will be presented at the Best Firm To Work For Summit on Sept. 22-23, 2009, at the Embassy Suites in downtown Chicago. The awards presentation is only a small part of the two-day learning event focused on creating a great workplace and retaining and attracting staff. All engineering, architecture, and environmental service firm presidents, human resource managers, and other leaders with interest in workplace issues are encouraged to attend, including but not limited to those that participate in the ranking program.
