2007 graduates receive higher offers

Civil engineering graduates with bachelor’s degrees are receiving an average salary offer of $47,145, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers’ (NACE) Winter 2007 Salary Survey. That’s a 4.8 percent increase compared with the average salary offer last year. Nevertheless, average starting salaries for civil engineering graduates continue to trail those offered to mechanical engineers ($54,587), chemical engineers ($60,054), and electrical engineers ($54,599), according to the NACE survey.
